Florist Design Project Overview

Logo Design

From the outset, it was clear that the logo for the Balsall Common based florist needed to embody creativity, cleanliness, and uniqueness, reflecting the quality of Isabel’s floral arrangements. The goal was to craft a logo that would be instantly recognisable as a florist’s mark, even when printed at a small scale. To achieve this, I embarked on an extensive research journey, exploring the florist industry through search engines, magazines, and actual flower bouquets. This research informed the creation of several initial logo concepts, ranging from watercolour paintings to digital graphics. After refining these concepts, I presented several proposals to Isabel, leading to the selection of a definitive design.

Selecting the Winning Design

Among the various proposals, one design stood out—a modern yet artistic typography that establishes a trustworthy and memorable brand identity. This design also features a stylised flower that can serve as a standalone icon, ensuring brand visibility even in minimal space applications.

Website Design

Following the logo’s finalisation, the next phase was the design of Isabel’s website. The process began with the creation of a detailed wireframe to layout the structure and visual flow of the site. This preliminary model was essential for visualising the end product and ensuring alignment with the balsall common business’s expectations.

After presenting the initial designs and incorporating Isabel’s feedback, the final modifications were made to perfect the website. This phase transformed initial ideas into a fully functional and visually appealing online presence, ready to engage visitors and enhance Isabel’s business visibility.
