The Logo Design Birmingham Based 3D Printer Brief
I was approached to review a 3D printer logo design for a company in Birmingham and provide enhancement suggestions to boost their brand presence. The previous logo featured the letters “B” and “F” representing the company’s initials, connected by a single line. While it was a creative take on a 3D printer logo, the design unintentionally caused the “F” to appear overshadowed or be read prior to the “B,” leading to confusion about the correct order of the initials.
Despite this setback, there’s a continued preference for a logo with simple and bold typography to ensure optimal results in translating the design into a 3D print. The founders emphasize the importance of maintaining clarity and legibility in their logo design requirements.
The logo design Birmingham project
When undertaking the 3D printer logo design project, the imperative was to infuse it with a sense of intelligence, cleanliness, and modernity, mirroring the essence of the service itself. It was crucial to maintain a connection with the previous logo concept while evolving it. Consequently, I explored the idea of incorporating the company’s initials into the design, aligning seamlessly with the 3D printer theme.
To preserve the correct order of the letters, a bold typography style was chosen to emphasize their prominence. This boldness not only delivered a striking visual impact but also laid the groundwork for the subsequent creative step. Leveraging negative space within the letter “B,” I crafted the letter “F,” seamlessly integrating both initials into the logo.
Recognizing the necessity for a custom font, I sought to ensure perfect alignment with the logo’s aesthetics, establishing a cohesive visual identity. The creation of a unique and tailored font played a pivotal role in capturing the essence of the 3D printer logo design, emphasizing its modern and clean attributes. Through this custom font, every element of the logo, including accompanying text, aligns harmoniously with the overall visual direction.
